The Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 3902 Unit 3 (CUPE 3902 Unit 3) represents employees engaged in teaching, demonstrating, tutoring, or marking/grading on contracts of less than one year. These positions are governed under the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement.

Within the Department of East Asian Studies, Summer positions are normally posted early in the spring, on or before March 5. Fall positions are normally posted in the early summer, on or before June 30, and Winter positions on or before October 24. Following the closing date of the posting, selected applicants may be asked to submit a lesson plan based on a provided syllabus and attend an interview with the respective language program coordinator. Applicants will have up to one week to submit the lesson plan (NOTE: In this case, the lesson plan remains the applicant's property).
