Admitted doctoral students are assigned a supervisor at the time of admission. By the end of the Fall session in year two, students should have constituted their supervisory committee in preparation for the Comprehensive Examination. The supervisory committee is comprised of three graduate faculty members of which at least two are members of the EAS Department (some exceptions may be allowed in consultation with the Associate Chair, Graduate).
Students who have an approved prospectus will meet with their supervisory committee at least once per year. The Undergraduate & Graduate Assistant facilitates the scheduling of meetings each March for students who have not had a meeting within the past 12 months.
A Supervisory Committee Form (PDF) must be submitted to the Undergraduate & Graduate Assistant after each supervisory committee meeting.
