Biography

Hongyang Cai is a PhD student in modern and contemporary Chinese literature and culture. Her current research focuses on cultural exchanges between the PRC and Latin America from the perspectives of translation, leftist politics, and World Literature. She is also broadly interested in Latin American literature produced in the Cold War and women’s history in the PRC. To justify the amount of time she spent on playing video games and board games, she has a nascent interest in ludology and narratives in games.
