Biography

Jiaqi Wang is a PhD student in the Department of East Asian Studies at the University of Toronto. Her current research includes the Cold War agenda of atmospheric control, the comparative history of cybernetics, and the construction of "humanism" in Anthropocene East Asia. By doing so, she hopes to examine the minor perspectives of "non-human" beings, especially through the racialized, gendered, crippled, and indigenous experiences in Sinophone literature and media archives.
